The Story Behind Cream & Sugar Bathery

Clean Ingredients. No Nonsense. The Crossroads Where Whimsy and Luxury Meet.

We are a mother-daughter duo who, like many of you, spent years scanning the backs of beauty bottles, only to find ingredients we couldn’t pronounce and didn't want on our bodies or in our homes. As elementary school educators, after a summer break spent wandering down several frightening "rabbit holes" about our soaps, lotions, lip care, and more, we rejected toxic "corporate" beauty products and began a "know better, do better" campaign to make our own. We needed products that performed, ingredients we could trust, and—let’s be honest—a little bit of whimsy and luxury to make our morning and evening routines feel like a treat rather than a chore.

The "Coffeehouse" Philosophy

We started Cream & Sugar Bathery because, as devoted iced-latte girls powered by caffeine and Southern grit, we believe your daily ritual should be as indulgent as your favorite coffeehouse order. Our Signature Coffeehouse Collection isn't just about cleansing and moisturizing; it’s about that small, golden moment of luxury you get to steal for yourself before the day takes off or after it glides in for a soft landing. Upon imagining a line of coffee-based soaps, we dreamed up more soaps to replicate some of our favorite decadent treats. Those imaginings were too strong to ignore, so Cream & Sugar Bathery, our soaping bakery of cafe-inspired products, was born.

Each soap bar is cold-processed and handcrafted in our home studio in quaint little Foley, Alabama—our Deep-South, hella humid home. We use intentional, clean ingredients—like raw honey from Colton’s Bees (run by one of our own elementary students), freshly brewed organic espresso, grass-fed and finished beef tallow, organic oils, and sulfate- and phthalate-free additives—to create long-lasting bars with a lather that feels like pure cream. And because bars of soap weren't enough, we began to dabble in butters, scrubs, balms, and more. To the delight of our family and friends, we are still dabbling, and we can't wait to share our upcoming formulations with you, our Bathery friends.

Community & Sourcing: We believe in the power of a good brew, decadent treats, family ties, and a great local community. We source what we can from our neighbors and keep our hands in the process from start to finish.
